A little bit about me:

After growing up in Taylorsville, I graduated with a B.S. in Medical Biology from the University of Utah in 2000.

I earned my D.D.S. degree, with Honors, from the University of Washington in 2004.

I completed my Orthodontic residency in 2006 and earned a Masters of Science degree and Certificate of Orthodontics from St. Louis University.

My wife, Amy Vranes Mortensen, and I married in 1998, and together we have 4 children.

I began practicing orthodontics in Stansbury Park in 2010, in the same building I now occupy. Our space was small and becoming outdated. In 2022 I merged my practice with an outside group. In addition to gaining a new facility, I felt that our unique partnership would translate to better care for patients. Unfortunately, what I observed was that I lost complete control of the patient experience. I wasn’t happy because I knew that my patients deserved better.

I recently re-opened a new office at 263 Country Club in Stansbury Park. Here, we will return to what made us successful in the past.
